About

Johnathan Bailey-Jenkins

Johnathan Bailey-Jenkins is a filmmaker, actor, and photographer from Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up in Shaker Heights, he developed an early fascination with storytelling through film and television, often recreating scenes from his favorite movies. What began as curiosity eventually grew into a passion for creating stories of his own.

Before focusing primarily on filmmaking, Johnathan spent years developing his artistic voice through photography. His work has been featured in multiple exhibitions, including the Ohio University Art Exhibition, and has received recognition through the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, where his photograph "The Distance" earned a Silver Key. The same photograph also received 2nd Place at the Annual Shaker Heights High School Art Show. Photography continues to shape his creative process, and he still carries a camera wherever he goes, capturing images that influence his visual storytelling.

Johnathan is currently studying film at Savannah College of Art and Design, where he is expanding his work in directing, cinematography, and acting. His first short film, Moving On (2026), was selected for the Ohio Shorts Film Festival and the Governor’s Show. Through his work as an actor, filmmaker, and photographer, he continues creating stories shaped by atmosphere, imagery, and character-driven storytelling.
